These are home care agencies. Carevo has not yet confirmed which of them provide personal care, so ask each agency before you choose.

How personal care is paid for

  • Medicare doesn't pay for long-term care, also called custodial care, and doesn't pay for personal care like bathing and dressing when that is the only care someone needs.
  • Medicaid home and community-based services (HCBS) let people who qualify for Medicaid get care at home or in their community instead of an institution. Your state Medicaid agency decides who qualifies.
  • Many families pay privately, and some long-term care insurance policies pay toward care. Check what your policy covers before care starts.
